Small, Autonomous, Intelligent
Persistent Swarming Drones

Current security systems still rely primarily on passive fixed mounted cameras. Sure you can rotate them on a motorized gimbal but they are still hard mounted and stationary. Gateway Data Systems takes a more aggressive approach. We fly the camera to the crime.
Trip an alarm and an autonomous “Scouting” drone is dispatched to take a look. The action is instantly on camera and streaming to our Control Hub. Intruders can avoid or quickly disable a stationary camera but not a Drone equipped with cameras and tracking them in free flight. Our Drones remain beyond reach, and in some cases the intruders might not even know they are there, silently recording and monitoring them from above.
In mid-to-large security installations we are able to find intruders outdoors and then follow and track them inside a building and back out again.

As soon as a security Drone locates an intruder it immediately starts transmitting photos to our GDSS Control Unit which starts forwarding photos to the Site Manager, Construction Company and Site Security. In minutes the tracked person(s) will have been flagged as either “Authorized” or  “Suspect”. If you are flagged as a Suspect then you are now a target. Surveillance is escalated, specialized Drones with more sophisticated sensors are automatically dispatched to the point of ingress/egress and in a big security installation – we deploy counter measures.

Once an intruder has been identified as a target there are a number of security measures that can be employed, depending on the size of the facility, location, actions of the target and the implementation of our security system. Time-lapse photos, directional audio recording and streaming video can all be captured and transmitted using WiFi, BLE or 3G/4G cellular and transmitted directly to the Cloud through our encrypted communications system. In a big installation we can dispatch a “Recon Drone” to locate and physically TAG your escape vehicle. That means once you hit the road we can also follow you by GPS and additional proprietary methods. And if you somehow manage to evade pursuit at street level and park yourself inside an underground bunker, well we have systems that can locate you there too.

Until recently reliable and accurate indoor Location Based and Proximity Based tracking systems have been, well, challenging. However, new Technology breeds new capabilities. It is now not only possible but it is surprisingly accurate to accomplish this using our Hybrid TRACeR-B Beacons. We can track people inside a building without using GPS and we can still get that data up to the Cloud. Integrating a multitude of detection, monitoring and transmission technologies to both predict and record room-to-room movement and co-ordinate our swarming Drones it is possible to follow single or multiple persons through a building.

Indoor tracking in general remains technically challenging since it provides no line-of-site to GPS satellites. However, our indoor beacons and hybrid RF Mesh coverage gives us full visibility and control. Once you’re back outside you are still in our sights. High-value assets implementations means we have likely already located and geo-tagged your vehicle with our own lo-jack transponders – autonomously. Now it’s full-on RF and satellite GPS tracking and Cloud-based reporting. If quick response security teams didn’t catch you on-site or just leaving, then we can catch up with you on the road.

No need to worry, we play nice with most security infrastructures. In most cases we even encourage installing or keeping the old Tried-n-True systems. Think of our TRACaR-D and TRACeR-B systems as an extension of your current surveilance and alarm system.
You’ve already invested in the door and window contacts, day and night vision cameras, networking infrastructure and a security response team. You are comfortable with Brand Name Old Tech. We’re not asking you to scrap it. In fact we can either run our system in parallel or we can interface with it directly.
